On The Hunt: Update on Ciao Tee!

I just wrote this post about my obsession with the Ciao Tee. If you follow me on Instagram ‘sarahashley612’, then you will see that I followed a friend’s advice to send J. Crew a message telling them that I wanted them to bring back the Ciao Tee (and the Herringbone Vest, of course!)

They actually did respond! Unfortunately, it wasn’t really what I wanted to hear, although they were super-nice about it 🙂

In the meantime, I did find this J. Crew Factory Cheers Collector Tee that might be a very close second…AND with the code ‘OOHLALA’, you get an additional 30% off…

It reminds me of this Kiss Kiss tee from my last post too…unfortunately, it was from 2013, so it’s no longer around 😦

Look for Less: Tortoise Necklace

Last week, I blogged about the Constellation Bib Necklace from Bauble Bar. It is originally $58, but is on sale for $36 for a limited time.

However, I saw it’s much more affordable doppelgänger on Charming Charlie for $7.99!

On The Hunt: Graphic Tee and Crystal Statement Necklace

This post may be one of the longest and most detailed I have ever done. I mean, this thing has taken me 5 days to finish. I hope somebody finds something they like from the links I added. Even if it’s just one! 🙂

1. Graphic Tee

I few weeks ago, I bought this graphic tee from J Crew Factory (obvi):

Their sizes run so big, that I bought smaller than I usually wear. Sadly, it ended up being too small 😦

I saw this quote on the Pin’, and it’s so, so true…

So, now, all I do is think about it. And how I wish they had my size. And all the pins I see, depict fab graphic tees with ripped jeans and blazers and summer hats and handsome men and exotic places. I could have a handsome, mysterious man on a deserted, Mediterranean beach…he would notice me by the “Ciao” on my shirt…if I only had my J. Crew tee…

The thing I like most about the Ciao tee is that it’s not overly In-Yo-Face, it’s just effortlessly cool. OK, I’ll stop now and just post some similar ones that aren’t as good and make me wish I just bought the right size in the first place.

The one above is by Nordstrom, who awesomely offers their TrueSize feature. You put in sizes of other brands of clothes you like, and it will tell you which size you would need in whatever clothes you are looking at. Anyway, to rub salt in the wound, this is what came up when I clocked on the “Dream” T-Shirt:

2. Crystal Statement Necklace

This is not a new trend. And if anything, it might be on it’s way out. But, when I was at the Clover Market, this past weekend, a cute vintage shop had a really pretty crystal necklace, which means that maybe this classic beauty isn’t going anywhere.

I already have this lovely colorful one from J Crew Factory, majorly on sale.

And I love it’s fun vibe, but I am looking for a classy neutral one to go with everything else I own. Maybe I’ll wear one like this everyday and be known as “The Girl with the Crystal Statement Necklace”…*daydream mode*

Btw, after I put this into the post, I saw Jillian Harris post this exact same necklace on her “Must Have” Valentine’s Gift List…just sayin’…

This one from Charming Charlie is cute too, but I am not really a fan of matching sets.

This delicate Crystal Shatter Collar from Bauble Bar makes a statement, even on it’s thin chain 🙂

I’m still wanting something a little more dramatic (surprise), so the Pearl Orwell Bib from Bauble Bar seems a little more like what I am looking for:

And this last Bauble Bar gem is pretty dramatic too:

The only thing that would make this better, is if the Graphic Tee and Necklace were worn together…

Today, I stopped by the Winter Market edition of the Clover Market. It was a special event held this weekend in the Armory in Center City. Here are some of the wonderful treasures that I spied!

Aaaaaaaaaaand, just in case you were wondering, no, I did NOT buy anything! Purely eye candy. Although, I did indulge in a hot chocolate spiked with Pumpkin Spice Vodka, in addition to some pulled pork and beef chili from the Oink & Moo BBQ Food Truck. Yum!

Late last night, I realized that I have been so busy this week that I didn’t get to do a Pinspiration post! Even worse, I didn’t even go on Pinterest to find an outfit to inspire me for Wednesday. So I took a few ~~hours~~ minutes browsing and found an outfit to recreate. In my rush this morning, I blended 2 outfits together. This is only unfortunate, because I have all of the pieces to make each outfit individually. But it is what is is for today…

White Button Down: Boscov’s, Architect Petite (not loving this shirt, so I’m not going to bother linking it) Try this solid one, this subtle striped one, or this polka dotted one from, where else, but J Crew Factory for a better, slimmer fit! Or to get REALLY close to the Pinspiration 1 shirt, try the Endless Shirt from J Crew also.

The long, white tank I am wearing here is my ancient American Eagle one. After I saw a hole in the side, I FINALLY ordered a long white tank top from Olivia and Jane, which I talked about in this post. I got it on a flash sale a few days ago from Jane.com (WARNING: This site is dangerous!!) I only bought 1, so in case I hate it, I won’t feel bad , and if I love it, I can buy 9 more 🙂

1. Leopard Denim

My bestie, who is also named Sarah, sent me this link. They look JUST like the photo I posted!! AND they’re on sale!! Unfortunately for me, I recently discovered that LOFT pants don’t fit me. I tried on about 6 different sizes (regulars and petites) and my legs still looked like short sausages…

2. White Tank Top

A friendly follower, Tricia, told me about this Eddie Bauer Layering Cami. It shows it tucked in here, but there are some other photos on the site that show it may be a little longer…It’s one of those things you’d just have to try in-store. It does say that a regular is 26″ long, which seems like it would just cover the crotch…

3. Herringbone Vest

My old college friend, Erin, sent me this link to a herringbone vest that is WAY more in my price range. J Crew sizes always run big, so I am wondering how the sizes would run with this brand? There’s only one way to find out!

4. Faux Fur (Feather) Vest

This peacock feather vest, I found on Mayte Doll’s blog. It’s SOOOO cute, and pretty much everything I could ask for in a faux fur vest. Click here to buy it! And for only $33, it’s really a bargain!
