Last Week’s Fashion

Monday:

Printed MaxiDress: TJ Maxx, old, about $30.00? But a few weeks after I bought this, I saw the EXACT same one at Charlotte Russe for around $40.00!

Tuesday:

Pink Cardigan: Target, old

White Tank Top: Charlotte Russe, old

Pink Necklace: Charming Charlie, gift, about $25 (thanks Mom!)

Blue Skirt: Ann Taylor Outlets, about $50.00

Pink Heels: Nine West (LOVE their shoes!), old

Self Tanner: SUN brand-Ultra Dark, by SUN Laboratories (This is an absolute MUST! I mean, I literally tracked this package down and picked it up in person from the sorting center in the middle of nowhere when it got lost at the post office…) You should order from Amazon, because their prices are good, but if you really have to get it quick, you can buy at any ULTA store.

Wednesday:

Short-Sleeved White Blouse: Express, gift, (thanks Dad + Barb!)

Green Blazer: Love Culture, $30.00

Scalloped Navy Mini Skirt: Forever21, $10.00!!! This was in the clearance section and the last one left in my size! I tried to find if they sold this skirt anywhere else in any other color, like maybe ebay or something, but most of them were already sold. But it did come in a beautiful red that would great with a sweater I wore this week-don’t worry, I will post 🙂

Nude Heels: Nine West Outlet, $45.00, sooo comfortable, for real.

Thursday:
Striped Sweater: TJ Maxx, $13.00!!!

Black Pencil Skirt: Charlotte Russe, old

Blossom Sandals: I know you have seen these blooms before, TJ Maxx, BCBG $20.00 🙂

Friday:

Black Tank: Forever21, Essentials Collection, $5.00!!

Yellow Cardigan: American Eagle, old

Yellow Necklace: Charming Charlie, gift, (thanks, Mom!) about $25.00

White Bangle Watch: Target, $11.00!!!

Jeans: Banana Republic Outlet, maybe $40?

Gold Sandals: Nine West Outlet, $20.00

So there’s my week of fashion! Hope you like 🙂 Which one is your favorite? I actually like all of these, maybe the flirty pink and blue combo, or the preppy navy and kelly green, or sophisticated yellow and black?? I love them all! 🙂

Going for the Gold

Bad News: I started to write a post about all of these great rugs I found today, but then somehow Safari shut down on me…I will have to do that one later…

Good News: I still have a little “Golden Nugget” to share with you!

Isn’t he cute?! I haven’t named him yet. HJ suggested “Libre”, but I think we can do better 🙂 I found him at CB2 for under $30.00! And he just arrived a few days ago. My favorite part is how his little snout turns up. He looks so happy!

I have had a thing for piglets for most of my life, but as I got older, its just not right to have stuffed pigs as part of your decor. He is the perfect addition to pay homage to my youth!

Wow, I really pulled that one out of the archives…

Huge pink glasses, Check!

Fanny pack, Check!

White athletic sneakers, Check!

I think everyone should be glad that I have come a long way and am now writing an amateur style blog! 🙂

Pinspiration: Pink Blazer and Striped Maxi

So it is no surprise that I am completely hooked on Pinterest, like, staying up late pinning, then lying awake in bed thinking about everything I saw that I want to wear, eat, make, and live. *sigh*

It is also no surprise that I get some of my inspiration outfits from Pinterest. It’s so easy! I pin lots of things that I really love and wish I had, but often times I pin things I know I have, or similar things that I think I could recreate on my own. I must share this one look with you!

So I found this lovely girl, Mayte Doll, through Pinterest, and decided to check out her blog! I loved the striped skirt she had so much, that I found a similar one online and bought it! I already had a coral blazer, black tank, and delicious black bag, so here’s the copy!

Sunglasses: Rome, Italy, 5 euro

Coral Blazer: Charlotte Russe, $26.99

Black Tank: Forever21, Essentials Collection, $5.00

Belt: gift

Black and White Striped Skirt: Tresics, Loehmann’s online, $24.00 (that included shipping!!!)

Black Bag: TJ Maxx, Betsey Johnson, $39.99

You can’t see the sandals, but they are knock-off Tory Burch’s from Target

Crescent Roll-Ups

I have a really easy snack recipe that you could definitely make for a party (or eat all by yourself…)

I hope that this looks good, cause they taste amazing!

Ingredients for Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups and Mozzarella Basil Roll-Ups:

-2 packages low fat crescent rolls

-Chipped honey ham

-4 American cheese slices, cut in half

-Fresh basil leaves

-Thinly sliced mozzarella cheese

-Tomato sauce

Directions:

-Unroll crescent rolls

-Arrange ham and 1/2 slice cheese on flat dough

-Roll up crescent

-Repeat with basil and mozzarella

-Bake according to instructions

-Enjoy!

Greatest Hits

I am now going to share with you the best of my week’s wardrobe:

Monday:

I think we need a zoom in on that top! And the sandals 🙂

And now the breakdown:

Top: TJ Maxx, $14.99!!!! (I know, I just can’t even believe it!)

Bag: TJ Maxx, Betsey Johnson, $39.99

I just bought the top last weekend, but everything else, I already owned! Some of the summer things are new from this season though. My coworker, E, suggested tucking the top into a pencil skirt as well…Hmm, I might just have to try that 🙂

So there you go!

The Huntress

Hi! So it’s still me, but with a new and improved name and premise! I will be featuring everything and anything that I am able to get a deal on and makeover, so that includes home things, recipes, and clothes! I have been gone for a while, but that means I have been busy catching up on my own favorite blogs and getting ideas on how to make mine better 🙂 So, happy reading!

Guest Bedroom Progress Reveal!

HJ and I are in the process of setting everything up here, and we do have a lot done for only being here for 2 months. However, I ALWAYS have more that cold be done, much to HJ’s dismay…womp womp 🙂

Now that we have 2 bedrooms and a dining table that fits 6, we have had guests every single weekend! So, naturally, the Guest Bedroom was one of the first spaces I wanted to get set up!

To keep myself focused (can you imagine me needing to be focused?!), I quickly made a mood board:

It was SO much easier for me to narrow down what I was looking for, once I was able to visually organize the room. I started with the things I already had and went from there. I was going for a kind of “Camping Chic” look here. I love the bold modern graphics with the country and rustic accents. The rest of the apartment is more grown up looking, and neutral, and I wanted this room to be really playful and whimsical. I am SO happy with how she turned out so far!

Isn’t she lovely?! I am going to do another post, so you can see the changes we have made!!

A Gift!

So here is a small thank you to my wonderful friend, Suzy. She knows how much I love lanterns around here, so she snagged one of these for us!

Image

Look at the cute little note attached:

Image

She suggested spray painting it-I may take her up on the offer! She’s such a great friend 🙂 We had a really good time setting up her new place! Maybe she will send me some pictures and I can do a post about her cozy little nook 🙂

Speaking of gifts, the candle next to the lantern is another gift from my friend, Michelle. Hmm, how lucky am I?! Do you have any perfect gifts from friends?
